Sunday Contra Dance
The festival will conclude with a Contra dance at 8 PM on Sunday, featuring a live band and caller in the Community Center Stage.
The band this year is "June Apple String Band," and Gordy Euler (he of "Shanghaied on the Wilammette" fame) is our caller.
Contradancing is fun for all ages, and is related to English, New England, and Southern-style country figured dancing, and American square dancing. It is easy to learn, and no partner or experience is necessary. If you would like some advance instruction, there will bea "Contra 101" workshop from 5:45 -6:30pm, also in the Community Center Stage.
The Contra dance is one of our two ticketed events. Tickets are $10, and may be obtained from either Info Booth, or from our roving ticket and button sellers on the grounds.
